How much does it cost to send my child to Scouts?
On choosing 8th Ashford for your son or daughter, the fee structure of our group will be explained in detail in your Welcome Pack.
Here at 8th Ashford, we collect our fees by direct debit on a quarterly basis. We include a Gift Aid form with your application pack and encourage completion if applicable.
This fee covers the cost of the upkeep of the meeting place and materials purchased to support the Evening Program and the Section, such as Badges and new equipment.
Additional trips, camps and activities are usually charged separately. These trips are non-profit making and it is not obligatory to attend all or indeed any of them, but our philosopy at 8th Ashford is to provide opportunities for all.
A Cost should not be a barrier to anyone taking part in Scouting and if this is an issue, you can speak to your Section Leader in confidence.
