Back Packing at Tesco

December 2018 was a great success.

Having lost the Ashford on the Map event in summer 2017, bag packing is our main fundraiser of the year. Each time we do it, we aim to break our previous total, so the pressure is always on!

Last year our total raised was £1784.00, which was excellent as the dynamics of shopping kep changing with new technology. This year we are of course hoping to raise even more. We are always amazed by the generosity of the Tesco customers.

We are a huge group and extremely lucky to have 3 mini buses, something which no other group in the district can boast. The money raised only just covers tax, insurance, service and fuel for the year and still makes no provision for repacement. So you can see just how important this money is to us.

Bag packing is great fun and if everone does a slot, it is also a doddle. You get to talk to all kinds of people and everyone seems to have a scouting story to tell you while you pack their shopping.

We as Leaders rely heavily on full support from our members and you as parents, it is a busy time for us all, please keep an hour free to help us
